Time for Health brings you ”dance”  Pilates that pays homage to the world of dance.  We have all marvelled at the grace, rhythm and sheer athleticism  of professional dancers.

DancePilates allows you to enter this world.  Time for Health’sDancePilates will help improve core stability and achieve the poise dancers are known for.  The classes have been specially formulated so that they are suitable for all members.  At Time for Health class numbers are restricted so that you receive personal attention.

“Dance” Pilates classes are run by a dancer who has performed all over Europe and who is also a fully trained Pilates teacher.  She will bring to these classes the Pilates repertoire, many of the exercises she uses as a dancer, and imbue the classes with the grace and rhythm that are second nature to her.

Barre work (Pliles, Glisses, Fondus)  are used daily by dancers as part of their training and exercise regime.  In “dance Pilates” in addition to Pilates exercises you will perform barre work but laying on a mat - floor barre work.  Floor barre exercises will require technical precision and control, but will not subject your body to excessive stress or strain.   All the exercises work in opposition to each other and muscles are always in motion.    The exercises will strengthen muscles in the stomach, pelvic floor and back, give you a better posture, a more defined look to legs and arms, and enable you to move with more grace and confidence.

Time for Health brings you ”late night”  Yoga on Tuesday between 8.20 pm and 9.20pm.  Late night Yoga is designed for those members who:  commute to London or Cambridge, or who want to get their children to sleep before they come out and exercise.

Time for Health’s carefully regulated  classes are based upon the full Hatha Yoga repertoire.  The classes are formulated to increase your suppleness, strengthen you torso and pelvic floor, improve core stability, and help your posture.  Some classes are specially themed against the seasons - for example in winter there will be a classes where the Yoga exercises are themed for skiing.

Time for Health Hatha, Yoga classes can be practiced by anyone because of our policy of  small class numbers means that help is always at hand. With small class sizes our instructor can and will monitor your progress, check body alignment, posture and breathing, and help to achieve a better practice as well as a more graceful way of moving.

We allow new members into established classes at a low rate so that the teacher can devote time in  the class to helping you.

We have a class transfer system that means you will probably never need to miss a class you have paid for.
